This saturday morning session is an opportunity to find out more about Physics and Physics careers. Jess Wade will present a talk on “Plastic Fantastic” where Jess will explain how solar panels and light emitting diodes can be printed from semi-conducting organic inks at room temperature using machines that you have at home. Jess and her team in the Centre for Plastic Electronics are trying to tackle climate change by making solar energy cheaper, more efficient and flexible…. and she wants you to join her! We will also have a discussion around Physics careers and there will be the opportunity to meet other students who are studying physics (and other physics based subjects) at degree and beyond.
The event is aimed at Year 12 female students of Physics. The event schedule (subject to change!) is:
