With the implementation of the Government careers strategy in England and the Gatsby careers benchmarks, especially benchmark 4, teachers in England are expected to embed careers information in their classroom teaching. To help them deliver this benchmark, NUSTEM has developed sets of Careers in STEM postcards with the following elements:
- Links with employers
- Links with STEM attributes
- Links with KS3 science curriculum
The postcards are an easy way to introduce your students to careers and employers. They are mapped against the KS3 science curriculum and each postcard highlights 3 STEM employability skills (or attributes).
Although designed for KS3, the postcards can also be used in primary schools.
