NUSTEM Annual Report 19/20
I’m a big fan of Christmas Round Robin letters. I really enjoy reading about what people have been doing over the past year, and sharing their celebrations and sometimes empathising with their difficulties. Even though I am friends on the socials with the people sending me letters, I like getting a short update all at once.
Each year, we write the NUSTEM Annual Report, which fulfils the same purpose for us as Christmas Round Robin letters. It gives our readers a short summary of what NUSTEM have been doing, what we’re really proud of, and who we’ve been spending time with. However, because we work in education we send out our report at the end of the academic year.
Towards the middle of June we start thinking about what have been the high-points for the year. We use our objectives to frame our thinking – we find it helpful for us to confirm that what we’re doing is supporting our vision for a diverse STEM sector. When we finish delivery for the year at the end of July, we then finish gathering all of our ideas and write the report.
So, although it doesn’t include photos of our holidays (because, lets face it, we’ve all been on Staycation this year), I’m very pleased to share our annual report with you. If you have any comments, or ways in which NUSTEM can help you with STEM Engagement, then please do get in touch.
And if you’re short on time, we’ve pulled together a summary of some of the key numbers for the year!
