We often think of universities as being all about their students – the thousands of young people who each spend three or four years with us, mastering a particular subject. But a university like Northumbria also employs thousands of people, to support those students in their studies, to look after the campus and its buildings and facilities, and to teach the courses and generate new knowledge through research.
Northumbria has 24,000 students, and more than 3,000 staff. So we’re a big local employer!
