Hello Byker, we’re NUSTEM. We’re based at Northumbria University, and we work across the region supporting children, families and teachers in exploring science, technology, engineering and maths. We’re particularly keen to help people recognise that careers in these STEM subjects are available to them.

13th February Year 3 Geologists and Key Stage 2 Family Workshop

This afternoon Year 3 became geologists, observing and investigating meteorites which are rocks from space. To find out more about geology, click here.

After school, Key Stage 2 families became systems engineers and designed, built, tested and improved marble runs to see if they could make the marble roll for the longest time possible. To find out more about systems engineering and to discover more activities you could try at home, click here.

11th February Year 6 Environmental Planners

Today Year 6 became environmental planners and used maps to discover how finding out about the past can help us to predict the future. To find out more about environmental planners, click here.

6th February 2019 Year 1 Naval Architects
