Hello Holy Trinity, we’re NUSTEM. We’re based at Northumbria University, and we work across the region supporting children, families and teachers in exploring science, technology, engineering and maths. We’re particularly keen to help people recognise that careers in these STEM subjects are available to them.

Holy Trinity CE Academy website
Year 5 visited Thinklab at Northumbria University and became ice core scientists. They travelled to the Antarctic and discovered what we can find out about the past from air bubbles trapped in the ice. The children used this as inspiration to write their own poetry. This afternoon, Year 3 became mechanical engineers and built marble runs. They investigated the forces used and tried to slow the marble down. Visit our NUSTEM at home marble run page to find out how to build a marble run at home using cardboard and tape.
